Gaskets for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

Gaskets keep lubricants inside of the various housings and mud outside. Depending on the available space, function and component, gaskets are surface seals, O-rings, shaft seals or sealing washers.

Gaskets can be found on almost every assembly on Harleys: from headlights, tail lights and indicators, starters and alternators, to forks, tanks, brakes, engines, transmissions and primary drives... which is why we have organized our range of gaskets in the same way as the entire catalog: Assembly by assembly, and in each case the gasket sets first, followed by single gaskets, O-rings, oil seals and other sealing washers.

Our gaskets and gasket sets come primarily from James Gaskets, Inc. We are happy to rely on for decades proven quality from this company. We also offer gaskets and gasket sets from Cometic or S&S. Whatsoever the brand, gaskets are a serious issue for W&W Cycles.

Why are the seals and gaskets in the W&W online catalog not listed with the respective assemblies?

This comes from the early days of W&W, i.e. from the times of the first printed catalogs. Many drawings would have been needed to present a gasket in the same way as in the original manuals for the respective assembly. Since we didn't have the capacity for all these drawings - after all, W&W has always done everything itself, including drawings and everything - we put the paper gaskets, fiber gaskets, rubber O-rings and all the other gaskets in a separate chapter and arranged them nicely according to assembly groups. That worked really well and after a while the customers didn't want it any other way. Sometimes the good things are so simple. True to the tried and tested motto: Never change a runnig team.
