Seals for ignitions

As with the rest of the electrical system, the electrical (electronic) side of ignition components does not actually need any seals. However, anyone who has ever dared to drive through a flooded dip in a thunderstorm with the legendary House-of-Horsepower ignition distributor on his bike knows pretty well that the mechanical components such as contacts prefer it rather dry. If you don't have a hairdryer and a power socket at hand, you will pass your breaker contacts’ drying time with swearing and smoking fags. Conclusion: The innards of magnetos, distributors and nosecone covers need paper gaskets, preferably with silicone reinforcement from James and O-rings or shaft seals (of course, also from James!) so that the oil stays inside the motor and does not seep on breaker contacts.
