Faber Cycle Handlebars Board Track for IOE and V Models
Faber Cycle Handlebars Board Track for IOE and V Models
This handlebar is dedicated to the infamous board track machines of the Teens and 1920s. Only machines of the factory Race Department of Harley-Davidson had these mounted. Due to the pulled-down bar ends you crouch on the gas tank and automatically adopt a racing position, which shoots you back to the starting line of the board tracks of the era. Just as with the original Board Track bars spirals and grips have to be shortened.
Seen from the rider's position and based on the handlebar center, these track bars feature a radical down-draft of almost 8”.

Faber Cycle Handlebars Speedster 1926-1934
Faber Cycle Handlebars Speedster 1926-1934
The need for speed saw the so-called Speedster handlebar in 1926 — essentially an early form of later M-bars. Its ends are offset backwards just short of 6-1/2” and a bit over 3-1/2” downward, with the two bends extending forward beyond the fork tubes. (All measurements are relative to the rider’s position and take the steering head angle into account.)

Faber Cycle Handlebars Standard 1928-1934 Singles, D and R Models
Like the other Standard handlebars, the Standard bar used on early 750cc models up to 1934 and single-cylinder models of the same period is defined by a generous pullback. At 27” wide, it extends 13” back toward the rider. The handlebar ends sit at about the same height as the center section above the fork. As with other early Harley-Davidson Standard bars, this results in an upright riding position.

Handlebars for IOE Twins and early Sidevalves

Inserted into the upper ends of the fork tubes and clamped with the triple clamp, 4-3/4" center-to-center spacing of the risers and both ends of the handlebars set up for twist grips. This is how the early handlebars for IOE Twins, Singles and D, R, V and early W models can be characterized.

The shape itself varies between narrow and wide, between little and much pullback, high or low rise. In addition to the standard handlebars fitted at th etime of delivery, the Factory offered a wide range of handlebar shapes as early as the 1920s: the first custom parts. Our handlebars are manufactured by Faber Cycle, they stand up to our high quality standards and any AMCA judge. For each handlebar here in the store you can find drawings with the most important dimensions, which help to choose.
