There are situations where the carburetor, notably the float bowl, lacks space to clear cooling fins, oil lines or other engine components. This is where these spacers come in handy as they bolt between the manifold and carburetor to postion your 3-bolt Schebler or Linkert further outside.

These Linkert carburetor reproductions match the historic carburetors that were used on Harley-Davidson motorcycles from 1933 and were originally manufactured by L&L Manufacturing. These are the seals many of you have heard about, which will once and for all cure the notorious intake leaks of old manifolds. They are machined from PEEK (polyetheretherketone), a thermoplastic with a melting point of 650°F (343°C). Compared to brass seals this material has superior creep resistance and seal properties and can sustain large stresses over a long service life without significant extrusion.

These manifolds allow the trouble-free installation of 4-bolt, 1-1/2” Linkert carburetors, like M35, M74 or MR, on sidevalves. The selection includes a version for W-series 45 cui. models and U-models 1937-1948. Just the right part for the sports oriented Flathead rider. Cylinder stubs require to be shortened to match the respective situation.
