Hard-Chromed Fork Tubes
Hard-Chromed Fork Tubes
These hard-chromed reproduction fork tubes match the form and function of the original components used on various classic Harley-Davidson models, such as FL Hydra Glide, Duo Glide, and early FX series. Manufactured to factory specifications, they come ready for installation with OEM-style threads compatible with stock damping units.
The hard chrome finish provides a highly durable and wear-resistant surface. It improves fork response and extends service life — a significant advantage over worn or re-chromed originals, which often lead to oil leaks or imprecise steering behavior.
Before installation, the clearance between fork tube and bushing should be checked to ensure proper fitment and smooth operation — especially important during restorations or when replacing a single tube.
Note: Bushings, springs, and dampers should also be inspected and replaced if necessary. New fork tubes will only perform to their full potential when paired with internal components in good condition.
Perfect for accurate restorations or performance-minded upgrades on classic Harley fork systems — authentic in appearance, modern in quality.

Lowbrow Low Profile Fork Tube Plugs
These low profile fork caps fit standard Harley 39mm front ends and are half the height of the stock caps. They are specifically convenient for Sportster 48 models that have integrated risers in their top tree. The stock caps are too tall and don't allow for a handlebar with a wider base. They feature a broached 1/2" hex for easy removal.

Tubes for conventional Harley-Davidson telescopic forks.

Fork tubes dip into the sliders and guide the fork springs. They support the front end of the motorcycle and are connected to the steering head via the triple clamps, and they transmit steering movements 1:1 to the front wheel. To reduce break-loose torque during compression, the tubes are ground and chrome-plated.

Product range

Our bright chrome fork tubes are available in various lengths and popular diameters for Harley-Davidson models such as Hydra-Glide, Duo-Glide, Sportster, Softail, Touring and Dyna. To simplify the selection, we divide the tubes by diameters and model groups, below which you will find the different lengths. For the individual model groups - i.e. Sportster, FX, Dyna, Softail and Tourer of various model year groups - you will also find brief information on the original lengths of common models. Since Harley-Davidson OEM tubes differ from model to model sometimes only by a few millimeters in length, the exact original lengths are not available for all models. So in individual cases, unfortunately, you have to opt for longer or shorter pipes.

Caution: shorter or longer (than original) tubes may change the steering head angle and caster. Thus they directly influence handling and rideability of your Harley, and in case of extreme length definitely the riding safety, too.

Accessories and small parts

For tubes to function properly in the front fork, you will of course need additional parts such as fork dampers, fork springs, fork tube bolts and filler bolts. Rubber boots can support the fork seals and keep dirt away from the tubes. And besides, they look cool …
