Keep it upright, keep it steady: engine and transmission stands

Working in a bent-over position close to the floor is no fun. You don't have to be 60 to know that. For a major engine and gearbox overhaul, it's best to remove the complete parts from the frame and place them on the workbench. To prevent them from becoming unintentionally autonomous, you will attach them to a support: an engine or gearbox stand. Our Bates engine stands have a sufficiently large footprint. Nevertheless, the engine can be rotated 360 degrees horizontally and all units can be accessed. The gearbox stands from The Cyclery are held in a vice. With both types of stands, the heavy parts are always positioned at a comfortable working height and the job can be interrupted and taken up again at any time without worries about the whereabouts of the parts.

Tire stands are intended more for set-up purposes. If you want to store tires without rims, keep them cool, dark and upright.
