Bates Transmission Stands for Big Twins

Mandatory in every workshop for assembling, disassembling and servicing. These sturdy engine stands are made from 5 mm steel and will last a lifetime. Both legs for engine contact are bent inward to better clear the cases and for easy access to the mounting hardware. This results in an extra long base for a safe stand. Has four base holes and can be fixed to the workbench.

Deep socket for removing and tightening the main shaft bearing nut (OEM 35046-36).

Use to check and align shifter forks and shifter clutches.

Special driver to install or remove the main drive gear bushing on all 4-speed Big Twin transmissions from 1941–85.

These sheet steel engine stands are designed for IOE twin engines 1911-1929 and make working on them much easier. Laser-cut and creased from sturdy 1/4” sheet on computer-aided machines, they provide accuracy and long-life service. The decorative “Competition Distributing” lettering making the stand an excellent way of presenting these engines on shows and in cabinets.
