Adapters for LED Turn Signal Indicator Lights
Adapters for LED Turn Signal Indicator Lights
MMB Generation II speedometers e.g. have just one tiny turn indicator LED. These adapters are used to suppress "hazard mode" blinking in a reliable way, which would be the normal consequence if you connected the left and right turn signal circuit to one LED.
Of course the adapters will work with any other 12 V LED, too. They contain two diodes and will be connected to the turn signals of either side and the indicator light in the speed or dash board. They're waterproof, simple to connect, and much less delicate than two single diodes that are soldered and have to be wrapped waterproof anyway.

Kellermann i.Load-IL1 Indicator Light Correction Modules
Kellermann i.Load-IL1 Indicator Light Correction Modules
If LED indicators are mounted on Harleys with HD-Lan (CAN-Bus), the flashing frequency must be adjusted afterwards:
by adapting the software of the BCM, by connecting in resistors, or by connecting a Badlands load equalizer,
Despite these measures, the indicator light in the dash may still flash with the wrong frequency, and this is where the i.Load-IL1 comes in. As the turn signal circuits are completely separated in the Harley BCM, one module is used per pair of LED indicators (rear/front), the connection is relatively simple.
The module is not model-specific.

If LED indicators are mounted on Harleys with HD-Lan (CAN-Bus), the flashing frequency must be adjusted afterwards:
by adapting the software of the BCM, by connecting in load resistors, or by connecting a Badlands load equalizer,
However, the dash board indicator lights of recent Harley models that are HD-LAN equipped can signal an error, meaning that either the turn signal light frequency is not correct or the error warning light will light up.
To avoid these problems, there's the Kellermann i.BOS module. The five wires are connected to the turn signals, the brakelight and ground. The device itself can be bolted anywhere thru its mounting tag or tied to a frame tube with its ingenious curved section.
The module is not model-specific.

Kellermann i.LASH HD2 Correction Modules for 2018-2020 Softail
Kellermann i.LASH HD2 Correction Modules for 2018-2020 Softail
When you convert from bulb turn signals to DF LED turn signals on 2018-2020 Softail models, you have issues:
The flashing frequency is no longer correct or the LED units glow continuously. In addition error messages and malfunctions of the indicator lights appear in the dashboard.
The i.LASH HD2 corrects all these problems and ensures that the flashing frequency is correct and no error messages are displayed on the instruments.
Scope of delivery:
load-independent flasher relay, two adapter cables for the turn signals with plugs matching stock wiring harness, 8 Posi connectors,

Is it necessary to activate turn signal indicator lights?

Indicator lights are intended to remind the driver that he or she has pressed the switch or button - either intentionally or by mistake. The simplest and cleanest way to do this - and in many countries it´s a requirement - is for them to flash at the same rate as the turn signal lamps.

This is not complicated in the case of turn signal control lamps with bulbs. They are connected to the turn signal lamps on the respective side. If there is only one indicator light for left and right, you simply connect it to both circuits. It gets plus from the side that is flashing, ground is taken from the other circuit. The resistance of the indicator lamp (2-4W) is high enough so the "ground side" does not flash, control of the indicator lamps is done economically and functionally.

What about LEDs? Why is everything so complicated with LEDs?

LEDs have a fixed plus and minus connection, so each side can not take over the function of the other. The power of LED indicators is so low that they start to flash even at the lowest currents. If the indicator light is installed in a bridge between the left and right side, you must therefore install directional valves for the current.

So if your choice are LED turn signals or you already have installed some, be aware that there is the possibilty that a few electrons get confused and the turn signal indicator lights flash out of rythm.

To correct the currents, we recommend adapters and modules from Axel Joost and Kellermann. Their years of experience in control and lighting technology guarantees simple connection and worry-free operation.
