Cannonball Inner Primary Housings for Big Twin 1965-1969
Cannonball Inner Primary Housings for Big Twin 1965-1969
Prayers answered: New Inner Primary for ’65 thru ’69 Big Twins
So you finished rebuilding that vintage Panhead engine and made it shine again, or finally found the perfect frame for your Early Shovel chopper project? And the last piece to go into your Harley puzzle is that beat up, worn out inner primary, used and abused right up to the point of retirement? With its visible repair welds, the chain marks, the shaky main shaft bearing seat? Wouldn’t a brand new, sound inner primary be so much better? Long after Milwaukee stopped making them for ever, here’s a faithfully reproduced state of the art new casting of the OEM inner primary.
Cannonball has produced a limited run of Harley inner primaries (OEM 60615-65A) 1965 thru 1969. Sand cast from aluminium alloy and precision machined in Germany, with all the details for an easy and long lived installation included.
All your existing fittings, bolts and anything else can be reused. Should you prefer to have everything in an "as new" condition, check out our large selection of all parts necessary for installation. To help with the decision making, consult the also available in our shop.

Cannonball StealthStarter SSK-R Kick Drive Rigid Frame
Cannonball StealthStarter SSK-R Kick Drive Rigid Frame
The Cannonball StealthStarter system converts your classic kickstart-only motorcycle to electric start. After installation you just push the button or turn the key to fire up your classic Big Twin.
The Cannonball SSK electric start system bolts between kicker cover and transmission case. The stock kick starter can be retained. Due to the system’s low profile, only ¾” (19 mm) wide construction the overall appearance of your motorcycle will remain virtually unchanged. Primary drive, primary housing and oil tank will stay untouched.
Installation is fairly easy and straightforward. The kit includes everything needed for the conversion except for the extended throwout bearing, battery, wires and starter button/switch.
If the bike is still equipped with an early stock 6 V electrical system, you will have to convert this to 12 V. Depending on the configuration some other options are available separately.
Since the kicker cover moves 19 mm to the right the following modifications may be necessary:
A stock 2-1 exhaust system will have to be routed slightly outward to compensate for the offset of the kicker cover. , A longer clutch release lever will be necessary on rod actuated configurations like Moustraps or Footclutch. A longer lever can be ordered seperately if needed., A extended throwout bearing must be ordered seperately for your type of clutch pushrod since the stock pushrod will be 19 mm too short.,
A longer brake crossover shaft will be necessary on all bikes using the original mechanical rear brake in conjunction with the original 2-1 or similar exhaust. A longer crossover shaft can be ordered separately if needed. , Original rear fenders need to be slightly dented for starter motor clearance. Alternatively, an aluminum “Dent” can be ordered separately. In this case the fender needs to be cut out to allow the “dent” to be mounted with the original lower fender mount bolt and the two oil tank/battery tray bolts.,

Higher lift lobes and longer duration will improve breathing and easily free some extra ponies. The W&W Wrecking Crew tested this cam shaft in a 1929 JDL and the results were highly satisfying, with overall performance nicely improved on both public roads and occasional race track missions. The Cyclery Servi-Car Box Seat Pads
The Cyclery Servi-Car Box Seat Pads
In 1932, still in times of the Great Depression, Harley-Davidson began production of the Servi-Car. Production did not end until 1973. These motorized three-wheelers were also intended for the automotive service industry, because in the 1930s, workshop service included the delivery of repaired cars to the valued customers. If the Servi-Car was not tow-bar-equipped, this service required two people.
One colleague drove the customer's car and the other one followed on the Servi-Car to bring both back to the workshop. The passenger usually sat on the sheet steel box instead of on a seat of his own. The Factory provided generously padded seat pads for the box to increase the passenger's comfort.
We offer the pads in a version with magnetic mounting strips that does not require drilling holes into the box lid, and in a screw-on version. If your box hasn't the mounting holes anyway a drill job is required.

The Cyclery Screwdrivers for Handlebar End Plugs
The Cyclery Screwdrivers for Handlebar End Plugs
This is the tool you always wished to have when it’s time to loosen those frozen handlebar end screws. We all know that even the largest screwdriver in the average toolbox simply doesn’t do the job, because the slots in the end plugs are way too big and you will inevitably ruin them in no time. The Cyclery offers you the right stuff: hand forged and finished from tool steel with a substantial ironwood handle. The blade tip is hollow ground and 3/16” thick so it bites into the screw slot for a tight, non-slip fit. The version with 1/2” wide tip is intended for handlebars with hard plastic grips installed. Rubber grips can use the larger 5/8” type screwdriver. The shank has a 1/2” square section, which allows for support with an open end wrench. Classy tools for classic bikes.

Bates 1940-1965 Fuel Valve Conversion Kit
Bates 1940-1965 Fuel Valve Conversion Kit
A common problem with classic gas tanks - mostly difficult to correct and sometimes dangerous - is a leaking fuel valve due to distorted tanks and misaligned fuel valves. This period looking conversion kit for the 1940-1965 thru-the-tank gas valve helps to resolve this issue quickly and easily. The insert replaces the stock valve seat and accepts most 1/8” NPT, 1/4” NPT or 22 mm petcocks at the bottom. The rod is omitted, the crossover line can be retained. With the included cap you close the top of the tank. Now you can park your bike with peace of mind and without a gas puddle underneath.

Bates Baja Skid Plate
Bates Baja Skid Plate
Leaving the road on your Sporty you risk the underbody of your bike being rock blasted by nasty gravel particles. There are ruts and potholes just waiting to scrape your frame. Fallen tree branches, beetles, manure – many dangers for the nether parts of your bike are lurking out there. Good for the motorcyclist who can defy them with the BATES Skid Plate for Sportsters. Easy to install, this beauty protects frame and engine from encounters of the unexpected kind. If you see a certain similarity between this skid plate and the LeBeef skid plate we can tell you: they are not only similar, they’re virtually identical and are designed to the same level of toughness, but they’re made of lightweight aluminium. LeBeef keeps supplying us with his handmade steel skid plates; by agreement with LeBeef we source the aluminium version where it is being made to our high quality standards to earn the right to bear the BATES name.
For adventurous Sportster riders who keep an eye on the weight of things (usually that of their bike), this skid plate could be a welcome alternative. Friends of steely stuff will continue to find the original version from Sweden in our catalog.

Bates Beefy Body
Bates Beefy Body
In the 1970s motorcycle designers became more and more spirited and the familiar lines and appearance of two-wheelers were radically remodeled. Daring tank and seat combinations, mostly realized in fiber glass, soon freshened the bike scene and some ideas were even picked up by large manufacturers. The Beefy Body derives from a design by the legendary Californian company Tracy, which was an industry leader in this field back then. Gas tank, seat, side panels and rear fender form a single unit and completely transform the bike. Just add a fancy paint job and your scoot will stand out in the crowd, guaranteed. The whole body is made from fiber glass covered with a VE Flex gelcoat, which provides a smooth and clean surface for painting. The original fender struts can be omitted and the Beefy Body bolts directly to the frame. A seat base plate for building your own custom seat comes with it.

PanAm Oil/Ignition Shut-Off Valves
PanAm Oil/Ignition Shut-Off Valves
Pre-TwinCam engines have a spring loaded ball check valve to prevent the engine oil from seeping down to the crankcase. These check valves don’t last forever. If you try to start your engine after a lengthy period of inactivity (e.g. winter), the oil in the crank case gets forcefully ejected via the breather. Creating an ungodly mess on your garage floor.
Installing a manually operated valve in the oil feed line from tank to oil pump can prevent this, but carries the risk of forgetting to open it. Resulting in major engine trouble. And we mean major.
This here nifty PanAm shut off valve is also installed in the feed line. With a little difference: once closed, the ignition is cut out too. No inadvertently starting the engine with this baby.
The tough polyamide housing has several mounting holes which offer all sorts of possibilities to secure it to the frame or other convenient hard points.

SpeedFire Lightning II Kit for Harley-Davidson LiveWire
SpeedFire Lightning II Kit for Harley-Davidson LiveWire
The LiveWire is a groundbreaking bike, but, as with all Harleys, there’s room for improvement. And because we just couldn’t help it, we started thinking about tweaking it. When we saw the rear end of the bike, we knew that this needs decluttering badly. So we engineered a minimalistic 3D printable solution.
The result is this stealthy new taillight / turn signal cluster with license plate mount, front turn signals and wiring.
Getting the kit installed is straightforward enough. The bike’s stock tail section can be removed in one piece, the stock wiring loom can be separated at a single connector. Plugging in the new wiring loom is hassle free, this is all plug and play. The front turn signals come with stock compatible connectors, plugging them in is all that’s needed.
