In 1932, still in times of the Great Depression, Harley-Davidson began production of the Servi-Car. Production did not end until 1973. These motorized three-wheelers were also intended for the automotive service industry, because in the 1930s, workshop service included the delivery of repaired cars to the valued customers. If the Servi-Car was not tow-bar-equipped, this service required two people.
One colleague drove the customer's car and the other one followed on the Servi-Car to bring both back to the workshop. The passenger usually sat on the sheet steel box instead of on a seat of his own. The Factory provided generously padded seat pads for the box to increase the passenger's comfort.
We offer the pads in a version with magnetic mounting strips that does not require drilling holes into the box lid, and in a screw-on version. If your box hasn't the mounting holes anyway a drill job is required.
