Hub and Spoke Covers, Axle Caps

Atlas hub cover. Not the original, but a beautiful reproduction of a contemporary accessory for old Harley-Davidson Knuckleheads. The center piece of the cover replaces the right axle spacer between the hub and the Springer fork rocker. Fits with 17 mm inner diameter on star hub axles. However, we expressly do not rule out other uses. See drawing for further dimensions.

Pictures of the good old days, i.e. the Forties and the Fifties, often show bikes which sport so-called wheel covers. These were very popular accessories in their days, because they gave the wheels a completely different appearance. So if you really want to show off and stand out with your classic bike, here’s your hot ticket. These wheel covers are exact reproductions of the period parts, hand-made from industrial finish stainless steel which allows you to polish, chrome or paint them. They fit 16” wheels with star hubs →1966 or 1967-1972 hubs and come with the correct small parts. Slight modification of axle spacers may be necessary.

The MOON Discs are legendary wheel covers and a distinctive hallmark of the hot-rod and custom bike scene. Originally designed to reduce aerodynamic drag in racing, they are now primarily a statement for style-conscious bikers and mechanics with an eye for detail.
Besides their iconic design, the MOON Discs provide practical protection against dirt and weather without compromising wheel functionality.
Made from high-quality curved aluminum, the Starburst MOON Covers shield the spoke area of 16-inch Harley-Davidson wheels. They fit spoke wheels equipped with either drum or disc brakes. With an outer diameter of 15 inches, the covers sit precisely in the rim bed, neatly covering the space between the hub and brake or sprocket. One of the discs includes a cutout for the tire valve to allow easy access. Installation requires craftsmanship and individual adjustment, as the covers are delivered without pre-drilled mounting holes.

These two-piece wheel covers are made by the French manufacturer EMD and feature a distinctive embossed design. Mounting hardware is not included and has to be ordered separately. The covers have no tire valve cutouts. These have to be cut as needed.
