Washable oil filters

These filters were available as separate assemblies for Side Valve Big Twins, Knuckleheads and Panheads or as inserts in the oil tank for K-model, Ironhead Sportsters and Shovelheads. Common to all these filters is the washable element, for which disposable replacements are available as accessories.

Oil filters in the place of a generator: External oil filters directly in the cooling air flow

If you have space in front of the engine because you no longer need a DC generator or you already have an alternator engine housing, you can use the generator's space for an oil cooler filter, one of our Wrecking Crew parts. It is designed to be the same shape and size as a generator, but it has cooling fins and incorporates a replaceable filter. This component even increases the amount of oil by a little over 0.5 liters. More oil, too, means oil that is cooler overall.
