WR Daytona Oil Tanks for 45”/750 cc Flatheads
On long distance races like the Daytona 200 the small WR gast tanks meant several gas stops and consequently time loss. Thus the HD-Race department decided to use both tank halves for gas and even enlarge them to 5 gallons. The oil went under the seat in a special cast aluminum oil tank. WRs didn’t have a battery so this space wasn’t used anyway. This is a faithful reproduction of the original WR race bike part and will fit all 45”/750 cc Flathead solo bikes with magneto ignition. Installation requires hardware to be made or obtained.

Welded steel oil tanks in classic barrel style. They have three 5/16"-18 mounting points, two at the top and one at the bottom. This way you can be sure that the oil tank stays in place even during bumpy journeys through the maize field. They have a capacity of 2.84 l and a central aluminium tank cap. Thanks to soldered pipes installed in the tank, oil supply, venting and return are located at the bottom of the tank, which is advantageous for a clean routing of the oil lines. Custom Oil Tanks — personalized oil containers

The design of the Horseshoe oil tank is so legendary that it was adopted by customizers quite soon. And the custom versions did not only fit Big Twins with rigid or early swingarm frames. There were also versions for the 4-speed frames from 1970, even with space for an electric starter. Versions with a mount for oil filter cartridges and for the oil tank caps of the Evolution Sportsters are another plus. Paughco has been offering all these custom versions of the horseshoe theme in proven quality for years.

Barrels aren't good for beer only

We use to get our best ideas over a nice, cold beer, preferably from a keg. And when the keg is empty? There was still... exactly: kegs for oil tanks! That we were not the only ones with the idea is shown by the selection of barrel oil tanks from PanAm, Moon and Lowbrow. From PanAm even with built-in oil filter holder.
