Spacers

Spacer bushes have play an important role on Harleys: inserted through softer material, e.g. rubber grommets on tanks or plastic components (Softail, Sportster, Dyna Glide), they absorb the pressure of the bolt and prevent the soft base material from being crushed. When installing the wheel, spacer bushes act as an intermediary between the hub and the fork leg so that the wheel runs centrally in the Wide Glide fork. Spacers, spacer rings, spacer bushes etc. are used for all kinds of gaps.

Weld-on lugs with holes

While wrenching, customizing or rebuilding your Harley, the frame, swingarms, tanks or oil tanks often lack threads or lugs for fastening. You can of course drill and cut threads into the components, but you run the risk of weakening the parts. Welding on threaded bushes and lugs from Bates and Lowbrow is definitely the better way.
