This conversion kit allows you to easily upgrade the old, mechanically adjustable contact ignition on Harley-Davidson vintage motorcycles to a modern electronic ignition. The original ignition base and cover are retained, as is the manual ignition adjustment. Breaker points and capacitor are completely eliminated and replaced by a electronic module. Visually, the bike remains unchanged, but technically you benefit from numerous advantages:
- Compatible with 6-volt and 12-volt systems
- Ignition spark with up to 60% more energy
- No moving wear parts
- Easy installation without special tools
- Tool-free ignition adjustment via LED display
- No more ignition readjustments required
If installed in 6 volts systems coils with a minimum resistance of 1 Ω are required, 12 volts systems need coils with a minimum resistance of 2 Ω.
Designed for stock or identical ignition systems, the rotor may not fit aftermarket timers without minor modifcations.
