Torx bolts imperial with button head

The TORX profile - also called six lobe - transmits more torque than a hexagon profile, just as the name implies. This is the reason why Torx bolts with button heads are so popular. A rounded, pleasing shape combined with the optimal torque transmission. This makes the mechanic smile especially when it comes to undoing the bolts.

And there's another cool thing about Torx bolts: metric and imperial bolts have the same socket profiles. 6 mm or 1/4" bolts use the same wrench sizes, as do 3/8" and 10 mm. On Harleys you usually need the sizes T20 to T40, so you can get quite far with a set of Bondhus wrenches. If you need larger ones, the wrenches are also available individually or as sockets from Bahco.
