Springer Forks for Singles A/B 1926-1934, 45”/750 cc 1929

Springer Forks for Singles A/B 1926-1934, 45”/750 cc 1929

Front forks for 350 cc singles and first 750 cc SV models.

With the new generation of singles (350 cc from 1926), Harley-Davidson designsed a variant of the suspension fork with exposed compression and extension springs. Since the frame and chassis of the first 750 from 1929 derived from these small singles with only minimal changes, this model also received the fork of the single cylinders.

The front mudguards were no longer mounted on the spring fork (so-called "unsprung fender", i.e. the mudguard belongs together with the front wheel to the unsprung parts of the chassis), but on two lugs of the lower brace of the rigid fork. It is therefore a so-called "jump fender", i.e. the mudguard moves together with the rest of the motorcycle. The front wheel springs into the fender and not together with the fender. The rigid fork legs of Harley-Davidson Springer forks for Singles A & B 1926-1934 and 45"/750cc 1929 featured and elliptical cross section and reminds of the profile of an airplane wing or "airfoil".

For these fork types we offer fender mounting kits, steering head bearing parts and rocker replacement parts.
