Spring Kits for I-Beam and Classic Springer Forks
The factory equipped Solo machines with upper and lower buffer springs, except for the 1946-49 model years which only had lower buffer springs. These short buffer springs have no suspenion function but solely prevent bottoming out of the fork. They have a C-shaped arc against rattling.
WLC (Canadian Army), Servi-car and Big Twins with sidecars came with lower inner cushion springs to compensate for the higher weight or severe duty.

With these cleanly manufactured fork legs for the main fork in original length, Cooper Smithing Co. has taken up the cause and created a way to breathe new life into malade forks from 1940→. Two oval bushings that plug into the legs help to align them and stabilize the weld. W&W recommends having this work done by a professional in an experienced workshop.
