Threaded rods with inch thread

Bolts are available in various lengths, from very short (e.g. 3/8" long) to very long (e.g. 5" in Ø 1/2"-13). But sometimes you won't get anywhere with these. Above all, the standard bolts only have a certain length of threaded section. The rest of the shaft is unthreaded. Threaded rods are often a solution here, whether as a basis for handicrafts or if you want to make a special stud bolt or an extra-long bolt with a continuous thread yourself. Simply cut to the desired length, fit a nut at both ends and off you go. If you add a few spot welds to one of the two nuts, you have a bolt.
