Bulbs for turn signals

There are not too many different types. This is because most flasher units are designed for 21 W bulbs (± ≈3 W). If the turn signal designer wants to save the customer from having to change the flasher unit, he sticks roughly to this electrical rating of the bulbs he uses. If there is enough space in the housing, a 15 mm bayonet lamp base with one or two connections can be used (BA15s or BA15d). If there is little space, you may use a 9 mm lamp base with only one connection cable (BA9s, BAU9s or BAX9s). Despite high luminosity, these small lamps sometimes have lower power consumption, e.g. 6W.
