S&S Super Stock Alternator Crankcases 1970→

The guys from S&S did it again. It can be seen bright and clear that the folks from Viola, Wisconsin, know their stuff and actually build engines and not just engine cases. S&S Super Stock crankcases allow complete installation of any flywheel assembly in less than one hour and are designed to meet the needs of modern engine builders. S&S cases come with Timken sprocket shaft bearing races and cam needle bearing pre-installed and pinion shaft main bearing race pressed in and line-honed. Even the cylinder studs are already in place which results in substantial savings in labour. Additional parts supplied include case bolts and crankcase fittings, timing and magnetic drain plugs and instructions.

As stock replacements or all-out racing applications these cases are made for the performance enthusiast. They are cast from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy and additional material has been added to key areas for strength but these improvements do not affect fitting in stock frames. No grinding and special clearancing is necessary. State-of-the-art features like maximized crankcase oil scavenging efficiency and improved oiling methods add up to an overall construction that is hard to beat. Available for 1970 to present Big Twins. Our wide selection of S&S Super Stock cases offers crankcases for many needs and the Big Bore cases for 8-1/4” flywheels for example accept the largest Sidewinder kits with 3-5/8” bore and 5” stroke without any further modifications. All cases feature the 1992 and newer oil filter mounting bosses. OEM  oil pumps of the respective year group or S&S oil pumps 1981-up are simply bolt on.
