Rear-View Mirrors OEM Replacement
Rear view mirrors - original replacement
All original replacements were once accessories. Definitely true with Harley-Davidson's rearview mirrors. Starting in 1930, the Factory offered rearview mirrors as extra equipment for the first time. Factory accessories were identified by the part number with -X at the end. By the mid-1950s, a rearview mirror was still not standard on motorcycles, domestic and imported. U.S. law ignored the rearview mirror issue until 1978, and even in the regulation-friendly Golden State, motorcycles are still required to have only one rearview mirror.
