Most bikes, which still have the original brake rods have enlarged holes in all clevis connections, pedal and levers. The result is a lot of slack in rear brake activation. These oversize shank pins are an easy fix for this problem. Just drill the holes in the clevis and/or lever to size and install the new oversize pin - job done. Pin head has stock size, so no one can tell it’s repaired.

Rear brake K-model and Sportster until 1978.

No Harley-Davidson model used a mechanical drum brake for the rear wheel longer than the Sportster series. Introduced in 1952 with the K models, it was installed here until 1978. The range includes brake drums, brake shoes, brake pads, brake base plates and brake cams. In addition, the matching actuating elements such as brake cables, brake linkages, brake levers and mounting parts.
