intAct HVT batteries fit into the stock battery mounts and are precisely engineered to handle the specific demands of Harley-Davidson models, offering extra durability and resistance to vibration. They deliver very high starting power with a solid safety margin. The batteries are low-maintenance and leak-proof, but they can only be installed at an angle of up to about 45°. For this reason, they’re generally not recommended for extreme custom builds. There is one minor drawback: if the voltage drops below 12.5 V while the bike is parked, it must be recharged promptly. Therefore, occasional riders should make sure to top up the battery from time to time. According to the manufacturer, using “trickle chargers” is best avoided, as they can unnecessarily shorten the battery’s lifespan.

Sealed Lead Acid Batteries

If a battery is said to be "maintenance-free" it means you won't have to fill destilled water and you are not able to do so because of the lacking plugs. Nevertheless, with long storing time, they require periodic check of voltage and if too low, a recharge.

For the caring charge of this battery a Cycle Electric Low Voltage regulator is recommended.
