These custom half-moon mounting plates fit Harley-Davidson fenders from 1934 to 1957 without factory-drilled holes. They offer a stylish yet functional solution for mounting saddle bags when original brackets are missing or not desired.

The mounting holes follow the style introduced in 1949, where the countersinks are oriented outward. This design provides additional space for the mounting kit used since 1949.

Unlike the rare original brass plates, these custom plates are made from durable steel. The classic half-moon shape is preserved, providing an authentic look that blends seamlessly with the vintage Harley appearance.

Whether Flathead, Panhead, or early Hydra-Glide models — these mounting plates are the perfect choice for period-correct customization or as a practical alternative for fenders without factory holes.

Saddlebag Halfmoons

Original fenders of the rigid frame period had no pre-drilled holes for saddlebag mounting. Only when customers ordered the Deluxe accessory group with their motorcycle, the factory drilled the fenders for the respectively available HD saddlebags. Until 1947 halfmoons had 5 holes, from 1948 onwards they featured 4 holes.
