Handlebar Grip Sets
Whether you’re looking for simple rubber grips or complete sets made of plastic or aluminum with throttle sleeve and left-hand grip — this is the right place.
How do I find the right grips for my Harley?
The first thing to check is the handlebar. All Harley handlebars have a diameter of 1 inch. Therefore, throttle grips measure 1-1/8".
If you have dual throttle grips on both sides, you need grip sets with two identical rubbers: 2 × 1-1/8" inner diameter.
If you have a newer handlebar on your Sportster or FLH, or ride a Softail or Dyna, you’ll need a left-hand grip with 1" inner diameter and a right-hand grip with 1-1/8" inner diameter to fit the throttle sleeve.
If you want to replace your grips and throttle sleeve with a stylish alternative, you’ll need complete grip sets with 1" inner diameter on both sides.
On Touring models and Softails with drive-by-wire (no throttle cables, but a plastic housing with a potentiometer inside the handlebar), the throttle-side grips are glued in place. They can therefore only be replaced as a complete unit with the sleeve.
What types of grips and grip rubbers are available?
Grip rubbers come in a wide variety of designs and colors. The material doesn’t have to be rubber — especially for handlebars without built-in throttle sleeves, there are modern material alternatives from chemical engineering and stylistic influences from racing and off-road sports. Manufacturers such as Biltwell, Cole Foster, Daytona, Lowbrow, LSL, motogadget, and RSD stand for quality and functionality.
