Buddy Seats
Double seats for close encounters: Buddy Seats
It's not entirely clear if it was really an invention of William S. Harley, because the version of a suspended double seat called Buddy Seat at the Factory also appeared on many Indians in the 1930s. However, and as controversial as its appearance may be among advocates of leggy choppers, the Buddy Seat is a great thing when it comes to bringing along your best buddy. From a purely physical standpoint, sitting close together is good for handling the motorcycle because the overall center of gravity doesn't shift backward and the front wheel is still loaded with enough weight to not feel spongy when cornering or riding on bad roads.
Buddy Seats with and without skirt
Seats, grab handles and matching railings, auxiliary springs, running board extensions (the passenger's feet have to go somewhere), mounting hardware, etc. are available in historically accurate designs and plenty of choice at W&W Cycles.
