The name “bomb-sight” derives from the air force because these venturi channels resemble the device that was used by the bombardier to aim at targets. As original parts they were reserved for MR racing and M-53 K model carburetors but advantages like higher intake velocity and better charge which help on the track make sense for street bikes, too. The venturis achieve, besides the named improvements, a very racy look.
