AMAL Mk 1 Concentric Carburetters

AMAL Mk 1 Concentric Carburetters

The AMAL Concentric Mk1 was introduced in 1966 and was a long awaited improvement of its predecessor, the Monobloc. It is smaller and lighter and the float bowl and slide housing are concentric (hence the name). Air and idle adjusters are relocated for easy access. These current re-production "Premier Range" carburetters feature various improvements over the 1960s counterparts:

  • Forged alloy, hard anodised throttle slide which has a low friction surface for smoother operation and greater wear resistance.
  • Material of the carburetter body has a passivated finish which resists corrosion.
  • Ethanol resistant, puncture proof Stayup float and Viton tipped alloy needle valve improve control of the fuel flow.
  • Precision engineered idle circuit which improves the pick up performance from idle and reduces fuel consumption.
  • Easily removable pilot jet which provides precise metering of the idle circuit.
  • aluminum, cast finish
  • Great Britain
