Early V models could be equipped with a magneto (Bosch DVA). The early housings from 1930-1931 were fitted with a blind screw which allowed the shaft for the idler gear to be relocated.
This gear set from The Cyclery can be used to convert V models from 1930-1931, and in rare cases also V models 1936, to horizontal magneto operation.
