Until 1929 the factory used Clincher type rims and tires. These reproductions are faithful copies of the period parts with the distinctive slightly arched cross section.

Spoke Sets for Rear Hubs 1928-1929
The final two model years of Harley-Davidson J and JD models received a slight performance upgrade. As a result, the rear wheel was equipped with thicker spokes than those used on earlier models. The spoke sets are designed for the 20” clincher rims commonly used at the time.
Spoke Sets for Front Hubs 1928-1929
The front wheels of Harley-Davidson J and JD models were fitted with a drum brake in 1928. This so-called half-hub brake requires spokes of different lengths for the left and right sides of the wheel.

Tire Valve Fishing Tool
Fumbling the tube valve through its hole in the wheel rim can be a real pain. This smart tool makes the job a lot easier with its 21 cm cable and "fishing hook". Just route the cable through the rim hole and attach its threaded tip to the valve core. Now you can pull the core through the rim without pinching your fingers or damaging the threads. With valve remover inside the handle.
