Big Twin Stators 1970-1988
The older stator coils from 1970-1988 are interchangeable with each other – one just has to use the appropriate controller for each one. The rotor is only available from H-D in one version for all. In practice, these stators were and are freely interchanged and not always used “year-compliant”. So before ordering, it is advisable to check the connection between the controller and the stator.
When combining rotors and stators of different brands it is mandatory to establish free movement by using appropriate spacers/shims.
