Regulators for Twin Cam

Cycle Electric Regulators for Dyna 1999→
Cycle Electric Regulators for Dyna 1999→
Cycle Electric regulators are built to last. Their rugged design is capable of handling overloads and continuous operation. Top quality materials and military spec. assembly processes ensure a low failure rate and a long service life.
To control voltage on Harley-Davidson alternators, rectifying regulators from other brands generate electric energy first, and then, when it is not needed just turn it into heat again. This causes maximum stator current and temperature load at all times. Cycle Electric rectifying regulators use a more intelligent approach: they make the alternator generate just the right amount of energy to reliably supply all current loads (battery charge, lights, ignition, stereo etc) by blocking current to control voltage. This reduces stator current, resulting in lower temperature and less drag on the motor which means a more efficient operation. The largest and most noticeable benefit is a smoother charge to the battery. This means less battery maintenance and a longer life for your battery .

Regulators for bikes with Twin Cam engine

The only thing these regulators have in common is that they are installed in a motorcycle that has a Twin Cam engine. There are major differences in the housings, the connecting wires and how the housings are attached to the motorcycle. These regulators each fit a specific stator. To choose, look at the year and model range of the bike (Dyna, Softail, Tourer), in case of doubt compare the connector plugs. Our Volt and Watt department has produced detailed technical drawings of all the regulators.
