This grip set is suitable for Harley-Davidson models from 1935 to 1948 and includes all components needed to properly overhaul the internals of the springer fork handlebar. With this kit, the handlebar’s function and operation can be fully restored.
The kit is designed for repairs, maintenance, and authentic restorations of classic Harley motorcycles. All parts are precision-made and match the original specifications, ensuring reliable handlebar operation after installation.

Throttle spiral grips on early model Harleys differ from common versions in that they push the cable rather than pulling it. This is made possible by using stiff steel cores instead of flexible braided inner cables.
Later carburetors 1971→ require pull action, so the factory changed to pull type grips in that year. For Custom applications using pull action carbs with early handlebars W&W also offers special pull type spiral grips.
Last but not not least
The Factory used the same spiral grips on both sides. That means, when using a push type grip as timer control on the left side of the handlebars the function is reversed, i.e. it pulls.
