1926-1957 Harley-Davidson generators have three carbon brushes and do not need a regulator. Instead, on all these years Harley-Davidson equipped their motorcycles with cut-out relays that open the circuit from generator to battery to avoid the battery from being discharged unvoluntarily. Mechanical relays do have their flaws and need maintenance. So here is our selection of solid state diode equipped devices that offer the same functionality but much more reliability. Unless you lift off the cover you won't see any difference to stock equipment.

On the outside they sport the typical 32E features like rounded brush covers with slotted hardware, riveted-on terminal plate and a bicolor, cast iron/aluminum housing.
