Rusted through, chipped, cut off - original Springer forks found at parts markets often have one or more of these problems. With these cleanly manufactured fork legs for the main fork in original length, Cooper Smithing Co. has taken up the cause and created a way to breathe new life into malade forks from 1940→. Two oval bushings that plug into the legs help to align them and stabilize the weld. W&W recommends having this work done by a professional in an experienced workshop.

A second life is possible for your worn down rocker shafts. These repair bushings have smaller than stock IDs so you can ream them individiually to size after you dressed your oval shafts on a lathe back to a perfectly round condition.

Rigid and Spring Forks for Classic Springer Forks
Reproductions of the rigid and spring forks for Classic Springer forks. The 1936-early 1938 rigid forks feature inside, forward facing grease fittings and a brazed brake anchor tab. The late 1938-1940 rigid forks feature outside facing grease nipples, also with brazed brake anchor tab. Both versions have correct forward swept fork legs. This is not the case with later 1941→ rigid forks, which have the lower rocker stud hole inline/centered with the fork’s top end.
