Wrecking Crew T-Shirt Artist Edition #2:

Charlie Lecach: „Sparkin' hot“

Charlie Lecach is what you could call a multi motorista: He’s driving his hot rod up and down the Cote d’ Azur, and is wearing down his blue jeans and his tools with and around motorcycles. He’s been writing for the international bike press about bike history for the last 30 years, and has been translating every W&W text into immaculate French for almost the same time. If he doesn’t spend his evenings in his private museum filled with rare Harley & Indian themed photos, mementos and collectibles, he also swings a mean pen to come up with illustrations such as this one of a 1947 WLR prototype racer, as ridden by his personal friend and Harley racing legend Leo J. Anthony. In this instance, the rider is a #5 H-D racing spark plug though :)

The "Wrecking Crew Artist Edition" T-shirt series

is a campaign featuring artists from all over the world and their very personal interpretations of the "WRECKING CREW" brand and the mindset that goes with it.

Of course, it's not a coincidence that this is all about Harley-Davidsons - and all other classic motorcycle brands.

Ultimately, Wrecking Crew stands for the simple fun of riding motorcycles on the roads of this world, off-road, on flat tracks ... and the joy of fixing, building and designing bikes. Not forgetting the events and the friendships that grow from them. In short: it's all about what is now called custom culture.

The motifs on these T-shirts are designed exclusively for the Wrecking Crew label. The artists come from all areas of fine art and "motorcycle culture": Illustration, tattoo art, pin-striping, painting, photography, AI, design, writing ...

Only high-quality, classic T-shirts of the best cotton quality are used, which are elaborately printed using screen printing technology, with up to 6 colours on the front and back, each as a limited edition of only 100 (one hundred).

Three editions are already available in the W&W store:

Edition 1: "Never Stop Kicking"

by Matt Wilkins, aka "Matt Sabbath", a Londoner living in Barcelona with an Instagram channel and 18,000 followers

Edition 2, "Sparking Hot"

by Charlie Lecach, Nice, France, long-time specialist author for motorcycle magazines and collector of historic Harley-Davidson objects

Edition 3, ‘Grim Reaper’

by Jeral ‘Artboy’ Tidwell, Californian from Kentucky (or vice versa). As the middle name suggests: likes to play with art.

The next motifs are already in the pipeline being sketched, sprayed, pinstriped, crocheted, welded, what have you ...

Greasy Kulture Magazines

Greasy Kulture Magazines

Greasy Kulture started in 1999 as an obsession and a love for the aesthetics of yesteryear, from the early motorcycle clubs that sprang up on America's west coast after WWII to the choppers and crazy customs of the 1960s. And today the publishers’ passion for old motorcycles and a life on two wheels is greater than ever. GKM is an independently published magazine about traditionally-styled old choppers and bobbers and yes, occasionally cars – from around the world: the USA, Europe, Japan, Australia and from as far away as Java and Malaysia. It is published six times a year.

Choppers Magazines

Choppers Magazines

In 1967, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, car and motorcycle customizer and father of Rat Fink, launched the Choppers Magazine, the first true custom bike magazine. It featured wild choppers and the first paintings by David Mann. Unfortunately, the magazine was discontinued by Roth in 1970 and the first Easyriders magazine was launched. In 2018, former WRENCH editor Cary Brobeck decided the world needed a Choppers Magazine comeback. He was to be proven right, and involved all his Easyriders Magazine friends after that venerable magazine gave up the ghost. ...
