Jims Retaining Ring Clamp for Tapered Roller Bearings

One of those tools that pay off in the workshop within a few weeks: It removes and installs the retaining ring that holds the races of 1969-2002 tapered bearing outer races apart, without damage to the case. Clamp the two parts on opposite sides of the retaining ring and use a pair of heavy duty snap-ring pliers (not included) to remove and insert the ring.
