The ignition timers of Harley-Davidson Sportster models from 1966–1970 and Servi-Cars from 1966 onward were rotated as a complete unit — just like automotive distributors — to set the basic ignition timing. Clamping of the distributor base was handled by a half-moon-shaped plate secured with two #12-24 hex screws. We offer this plate together with the screws as a kit, as well as the screws individually.
