Handlebar Plungers for Models 1954-1974

Slider block and springs for Harley-Davidson models 1954–1974, for throttle grips and spark advance controls with cables routed inside the handlebar. The slider block — also called a plunger — is the more or less cylindrical piece of steel into which the control cable is clamped and which is moved back and forth by the twist grip. The spring helps the slider block return to its starting position when the grip is closed (turned forward).
