Fork Slider Drain Plugs
- for fork sliders
- steel
In the 2000s, Harley-Davidson began equipping more and more models with telescopic forks that no longer had (and still do not have) oil drain screws. To change the oil, you are actually supposed to remove the fork tubes, unscrew the top cap, and let the old oil drain out completely by turning everything upside down. The reason for this approach: on these forks, the oil level was set after filling using a small pump. The air cushion above the oil must be the same on both sides. The height of this air cushion affects suspension quality and damping response. And why are we telling you all this? Because below you’ll find fork oil drain screws for older telescopic forks, where no air cushion is set and you simply make sure to fill the same amount of fork oil on the left and right.
