Since the introduction of oil hoses instead of rigid lines on K models and FLHs, Harley-Davidson has used robust single-use hose clamps. While very strong, they are intended for one-time use only, and proper installation requires a high-quality —and unfortunately expensive— crimping tool. Standard hose clamps with embossed threads in the band are not only unattractive, but the threads are also not particularly durable....
