A Bowden cable can only perform its function properly if it is secured at several points along its length: at the handlebar, the frame, and the fork. The old motorcyclists and the people at Harley-Davidson knew this. That is why, for example, for the cables going to the twist grips on the handlebar, these mounting clamps are used.
