TRW

TRW was founded 1901 in the USA. Since then they're prducing ports for the automotive industry. The wooden wheels for the legendary Ford Model T are a TRW contruction, as well as the frist automotive handbrakes. In the late 1930es the first hydraulic barke systems were produced. The servo steering for Chrysler New Yorker was also a TRW development. In the 70es followed - e.g. - the 4 wheel ABS system for GM. TRW was also busy on the aircraft and space sectors. In 2002 the automotive sector of TRW was taken over by ZF, friedrichshafen. The actual headquarters are located in Livonia, Michigan, USA.
