Steering Locks
Steering Locks
Steering locks are an effective way to prevent unauthorized users from riding your Harley. What's more, you don't have to carry anything extra. From the early 1930s until 1968, the big Twins and the D and R models had a drilled passage in the steering head in which a solid locking bolt was guided. This was activated by simply turning a locking cylinder. The Neiman locks are needed for the lock cylinder mounts that were welded onto some accessory frames and many original frames in Europe at the behest of the authorities. From 2000 onwards, Wide Glide and Softail models even had simultaneously locking ignition and steering locks for 17 years.
