Over time and miles with dirt and grit, the stock 33344-94 spacer is too soft and it gets gouged by the seal that rides against it. As the spacer gets gouged, the seal relaxes. When the seal relaxes, the leaks begin. The BAKER sprocket spacer is a direct replacement for the stock spacer except it is case hardened steel that has a Rockwell ‘C’ hardness of 55. No more gouging, no more leaks.

OEM Replacement Pulleys

Pulleys for transmission output and rear wheel, for Big Twins with 4 and 5-speed transmissions and 5-speed Sportsters. Almost as maintenance-free as a shaft drive, as performance-friendly as a chain, with the belt drive to the rear wheel, Harley-Davidson has dared to take the quantum leap in terms of rear wheel drive, although in the mid-1980s there were already many high-quality sealing ring chains on the market. Nevertheless, for the Softails, FXR and Tourers of the 80s, the smooth-running and low-maintenance secondary drive was certainly one of the best things the factory could adapt.
