There are tanks that come with multiple threaded ports for the fuel tap, allowing the customizer to choose the best position. S&S Cycle oil pumps traditionally came with two inlet threads—but only one is needed. The other is sealed with a plug. These plugs have a tapered thread. To ensure a proper seal, they are installed with a few drops of thread sealant or some Teflon tape.
