Original replacement mufflers

Harley-Davidson did not fundamentally reinvent the silencer with every model series from the 1930s to the 1970s. Different models had the same or similar silencers over longer periods of time. Roughly speaking, four model groups can be identified: Singles and 45" (750cc), Big Twins with rigid or swingarm frames, the Shovelhead model series and K-Model/Sportster.
