Founded in 1965 in Geesthacht, Germany, Jahn specializes in the development and production of lighting products. The brand manufactures bulbs for a wide range of vehicles, including halogen lamps, gas discharge (Xenon) lamps, signal lights, and specialty lamps. Products are made in Europe and comply with standards such as DIN 72601 and ECE regulations No. 37 and 99. The range includes standard bulbs in various voltages as well as premium variants with enhanced brightness, longer service life, improved vibration resistance, or special light color.

Bulbs H4 (P43t)

Since 1971 H4 headlight bulbs are marketed. They count with brighter light and higher longevity than former good ol' Osram Bilux bulbs and have developped into the standard light bulb on singlke headlight applications for motorbikes. Being first available in 12V versions only nowadays there are even 6 V H4 bulbs. Of course, 6 V bikes merit bright headlights, too. Anyway who installs 6 V H4 bulbs should have a look at the fuse: 60 W @ 6 V mean 10 A on the low beam wire.

Bulbs H7 (PX26d)

Low beam counter part of H3 high beam ligh bulbs. 12 V 55 W — just that.

Bulbs H11 (PGJ19-2)

Low beam light bulb for V-Rods, FXDF Dyna Fat Bob from 2008 and FLHR Road King from 2014. The right one has a brownish seal ring a a two-way AMP Tyco Junior Power Timer connector.

Bulbs R2 (P45t)

Pre-focussed European type dual filament headlight bulb and predecessor of H4 halogen bulbs, often marketed as Bi-Lux light bulb. The dim filament is shaded. Has 45 mm base that allows one position insertion only.

Bulbs S2 (BA20d)

Dual-filament bulbs for headlights with small inserts measuring 3-1/2” or 4-1/2” in diameter. The 20 mm base takes up little space and leaves enough room for the actual reflector. Available in 6 V and 12 V, with 35 W and 45 W.

Bulbs H4 Hybrid (BA20d)

Better road illumination with H4 light, even for Harleys with older reflectors that would normally only take S2 bulbs, known from the 1960s. These hybrid bulbs demonstrate how bright 35 W can be when modern technology is fully utilized.

Bulbs W2.1x9.5d

Wedge typ bulbs with glass socket that measures 3/32” x 3/8”. Typically used in low power position light or indicator light applications.

Bulbs P27W/7W (W2.5x16q)

Plug-in bulb version without bayonet base for Harley-Davidson tail lights from 2004 onwards. US type 3157, 27 W for brake light, 7 W for running light, 12 V, W2.5x16q wedge base,

Bulbs T10W (BA15s)

With 10 W power, the T10W bulbs are suitable for bright tail lights or small-sized indicator or brake lights. Fit all bayonet sockets with a single contact and 15 mm diameter.

Bulbs C (SV8.5-8)

These torpedo-shaped festoon bulbs are more commonly found in older cars. If you’ve customised your Harley —blessed be TÜV— to original Hella “ox-eye” handlebar mounted turn signals, you’ll need these bulbs from time to time as replacements for exactly those indicators. By the way, these bulbs will occur in some period taillights, too.

Bulbs H6W (BAX9s)

6 W halogen bulbs for custom turn signals. Bayonet 9 mm single contact socket with 150° offset pins (BAX9s) renders them one-way insertion only.

Bulbs P27/7W (BAY15d)

The amber glass tint tells us, it's a turn signal bulb, most useful for white/clear lens applications. Double filament with two power levels makes them a n°1 replacement for front turn signal indicators with integrated running lights. 12 V only.

Bulbs H20W (BA9s)

Bright 20 W halogen bulbs for turn signals. Bayonet 9 mm single contact socket (BA9s) makes them easy to insert.

Bulbs P20/5W (BA15d)

It's not so much the glass bulb and the 20 W filament that makes these light bulb special. It's rather the double contact base that allows these 6 V bulbs to be inserted either way. So it is advisable to perform a function test before refitting the lens.
