Competition Distributing

Competition Distributing Inc. is a name well known in the motorcycle industry, from vintage beauties to top fuel dragsters.

Lonnie and Marianne Isam founded the company in 1969. For many years, Lonnie has been involved with drag racing all over the world, making special parts, helping develop new state-of-the-art products, and sponsoring racers. His peers hold him in high esteem.

Besides the love for racing, Lonnie and Marianne owned and operated Competition Distributing Inc. consisting of design/manufacture of high performance products, prototype specialist, pattern design, investment castings, replacement motor and chassis parts for pre 1929 Harley Davidsons."

After 52 years of top-notch service, this legacy has come to an end by selling Competition Distributing Inc. to Tom Banks and Sean Jackson, who have moved the company to western Pennsylvania and will continue to build on Lonnies and Mariannes work. Both being enthusiastic riders and wrenchers, Tom Banks also has ammassed an impressive collection of many antique motorcycles in the last 40+ years and Sean Jackson has been wrenching and riding since he could walk. For them, motorcycles are more than a hobby, they are a way of life!

These inlet rocker arm kits by Competition Distributing have a different from the stock inlet levers ratio. This allows the intake valves to open wider and therefore more gas/air mixture can flow in. The location of the pivot bolts in the brackets for the inlet levers are matched to the changed ratio. All components are made entirely of chrome-moly steel and are case hardened to resist wear. The inlet levers feature oil-impregnated bronze bushings, hardware made from high-grade steel, flexloc nuts and pre-installed grease nipples. They fit 1915-1929 Harley-Davidsons, but the larger pushrod adjusting screws for 1928-1929 models must be used.
